The Belgian Biodiversity Platform is pleased to present its Highlights Report 2017

In this document, you will learn how our organisation, in collaboration with our partners, has been active in science-policy interface activities over the past year through three main areas of work:

  • Knowledge brokerage: activities related to the transfer of research results to policy-makers and practitioners, and vice-versa.
  • Topical knowledge incubation: activities related to the mobilisation of experts on topical issues such as invasive alien species, ecosystems and society, biodiversity and health, nature-based solutions and biodiversity informatics.
  • Open data: activities related to the mobilisation, publication, access and use of biodiversity data in an open and free manner.

Our team would like to express its gratitude to our funder, BELSPO, and to our partners, especially our host institutes: INBORBINS and DEMNA for supporting us in accomplishing this work.  For any question or request, please contact Dr Hilde Eggermont, Coordinator of the Belgian Biodiversity Platform.
