On 25-26 August, a workshop was arranged in Hanoi under the framework of the US initiative ”The Global Health Security Agenda”
(GHSA, http://www.cdc.gov/globalhealth/security/index.htm ), focusing on GHSA’s action package on zoonotic diseases.

The meeting was hosted by Viet Nam and Indonesia in collaboration with USA, gathered approximately 200 delegates from over 40 countries and organisations, and had extensive media coverage. The overarching goal of the meeting was to facilitate and speed up international collaboration on issues aimed to reduce transmission of zoonotic disease globally, with the specific objective to produce a draft action plan for global management of zoonoses. NEOH was represented through the Swedish delegates, and leaflets about our activities were disseminated to participants at the meeting.
